Before my children were born, I worked with youth for more than 20 years as a mentor, football coach, teacher and youth minister. That span does not include my years as a class assistant in the political science department in college or as a student-leader tutoring kinder-garteners in elementary school, then I would boast almost 45 years of experience developing, training and preparing young people for success, but I digress. The point is, as I write this introduction, I realize I have totally been operating in my divine purpose as I have been working with children. Now it's time that I turn my attention to working with parents.
When I pray for my own children, my hope is that they continue to remain responsible, respectful, and continue to excel academically, socially and most importantly spiritually. I admit my ego wants our family image to remain intact, so my motive in hoping the best for them is blended with elements of selfishness to say the least, but I do want the best for my own children, and now I want the best for others.
Powerful pointers for parents was created to share my knowledge of nearly three decades of working with youth, studying and adopting strategies and techniques to raise impactful children who are great decision makers. This class is from the heart, but also practical and scientific. I do my best to help you to prepare your children for success. In this class I cover generational minsdiets to help you understand the frames of thought for each generation. I also cover Self Esteem, Self Image and Self Concept and how to build your children up in these areas. What I found when I was a student, seeking to master this information, was the way I was raised, actually hindered my development as an adult, which is why I blossomed so late in life. To help you to avoid the same mistakes, I will expose you to the most innefective styles of parenting and teach you how to leverage the most effective strategy. I can't wait to meet you and teach you live, so we can have real-life discussions and learn more together.
